We aim to always operate on an 8 – 12 week lead time from the order being placed to arriving at your home ready for installation. This is much better than what some companies offer where you sometimes have to wait 6 months or more. We have the capacity in house to deal with a much bigger volume of orders. This is our Fast Track Ordering service which is available in both our prefinished and unfinished cabinetry. We also offer our unfinished range arriving at your home based on our current standard lead times, which is typically 16 – 20 weeks. However, this attracts a heavy discount of 50% off the standard pricing of our Fast Track Prefinished cabinetry. For example, our prefinished full height single base, BASE 01, normally costs £1199. This same cabinet but unfinished would receive a 50% discount off this price, becoming £599. In our sale, this receives another 50% discount to become £299! Remarkable value for money!!

Our cabinets are made from 19mm solid wood veneered medium density fibreboard that is jointed then glued and screwed together. These are normally offered in a Solid White Oak veneer for painted fronts with the option to have Maple, Cherry or Walnut interiors as well. Most manufacturers simply butt joint their cabinets together with either screws or dowels, but we go the extra mile and make use of a machined joint for increased strength and durability.
Whereas other in-frame manufacturers give you a thinner 10mm back on bases and walls, we build our cabinets with a full 19mm thickness throughout. This gives the cabinet much more strength and rigidity with only a small increase in weight. A worthy upgrade we are sure you agree!
We offer over 200 different types of cabinets which are available in custom sizes with different heights, widths, and depths, subject to some necessary manufacturing limits. However, we don’t just limit ourselves to a set range of cabinets like most companies. If you don’t see something that suits your needs, we also offer a custom designed cabinet service where we will work with you to design a cabinet to match your needs and desires! Also, if you are looking for a different door design such as a slab inframe design for a more contemporary cleaner look, or a raised and fielded centre panel inframe design for a more luxurious, opulent look, just let us know. We have completely transparent pricing available online via our downloadable catalogue and price list. We still maintain our business model – “The Best for Less!” We offer three versions of our cabinetry. Firstly, our Prefinished Fast Track cabinetry. Secondly, our Unfinished Fast Track cabinetry which receives a 25% discount compared to our Prefinished range. Finally, our Unfinished Standard Leadtime cabinetry has a massive 50% discount compared to our Prefinished range! All still custom sized and made in the wood species of your choice! During our sale period, you also have the opportunity to receive another 50% discount off our Standard Leadtime Unfinished cabinetry, giving you unbelievable value for money!
All our front frames and doors are 25.4mm thick and we offer the most comprehensive solid hardwood material available in the UK with a total of 6 different front frame and door species to choose from with a % surcharge in each case as follows :-

We understand that some prospective customers have paid deposits to other companies to secure delivery slots. We aim to reimburse deposits paid to other kitchen companies when someone changes their mind and commissions us instead to obtain a higher quality product and shorter leadtimes.
If you want to take advantage of this offer, we would need to have proof of payment and design/quote provided. Upon receipt of this, we would discount the final balance owed to us by this amount, subject to a maximum of £350 with a minimum order value of £3500, and a maximum of £500 with a minimum order value of £5000.
Nearly every manufacturer of in-frame painted cabinets in the UK uses Tulipwood (Poplar) for their doors and frames. However, we know from experience that Tulipwood, despite it being classed as a hardwood, is actually a very soft wood that you can even mark with your fingernail! It’s Janka hardness at 540 is hardly above Pine (Janka 420) and we all know how soft that is. If you do an online review of in-frame kitchens made with tulipwood, you’ll soon see how it is easily damaged within the working environment of a kitchen. In the USA, cabinet makers would never even dream of using Tulipwood for fine cabinetry!! Handmade Kitchens Direct use only Hard Maple (Janka 1450) for the frames of our painted ranges because we know durability matters to our customers who want their kitchen to stay looking good for years to come.
Our drawer boxes are only manufactured with traditional joinery dovetail joints front and back. These are as standard produced out of White Oak, with options to have Maple or Walnut depending on your cabinet interior. The drawer sides are 15mm thick solid lumber, with 10mm thick veneered bottoms for extra strength.
Additionally, we only use the most durable engineered drawer systems available today, which is the German manufactured brand Hettich Actros 5D. These full extension soft close drawer slides with a smooth action are built to last with a 40kg weight rating and the option to upgrade to a 70kg rating upon request for those who want to incorporate heavy pan drawers into their design. They also have 5D adjustability to ensure perfect drawer fitment.
Our standard cabinet incorporates solid brass butt hinges in four different finishes as we believe this is the strongest form of hinging available as we mortise these into the door. This means your doors will not drop over time. However, we also recognize that some customers want a sleeker contemporary design where you do not see the hinges and so we also offer a concealed door hinge for this look as an option. Again, we use the German Hettich range of concealed hinges that have a built in soft close action. This option is not normally offered by many in-frame manufacturers.
